The Glasgow Display Squad is run by
Louise Connelly.
We also have Stacey and Julie as assistant coaches for the junior squad.
All of the coaches are gymnasts in the adult squad.
The squad was started in 1998, with only 14 gymnasts. We now have 52 gymnasts and 12 qualified coaches in the squad. The girls and boy are split into 4 sections, an adult squad , a senior squad and 2 junior squads.
All squads perform in displays all over Glasgow. The junior squads made their first appearance outside of Glasgow at Gymfest 06' in Irvine and did a fantastic job. They did so well, we even took a group of juniors to perform at Liverpool later that year.
The seniors' first display out of Glasgow was at Gymfest 02' in Edinburgh and we haven't looked back since. Every year the senior and adult squads travels to take part in TVL festival in Middlesbrough, Scottish Gymfest, British Ministrada in Liverpool and Mid-Sutton Fleadh in Dublin. In the next few years we are hoping to travel to London 07' and Italy in 2008.
